From the first fitting to the final hem, your dress is altered in-house by our Manchester tailoring team. Private fitting rooms are available by appointment.
Wedding dresses combine delicate fabrics with complex construction, so alterations may require several stages. We assess the gown, pin the intended fit and discuss timing and cost before any work begins. Bring your wedding shoes and planned foundation garments to fittings whenever possible.

Take in or let out where seam allowance permits; refine the bust, waist, hips, side seams, princess seams and back.
Shorten, lengthen or reposition straps; lift shoulders; improve armhole fit and support.
Add, remove, shorten or reshape sleeves; raise or adjust a neckline; add suitable modesty panels.
Add a bustle for the reception, adjust train length and improve the way a train falls and fastens.
Assess zip-to-corset or corset-to-zip changes, replace closures and adjust internal structure where appropriate.
Carefully lift, reposition and reapply decorative work when it is necessary to reach seams or alter hems.
Adjust linings and underskirts, repair internal support and refine layered construction as part of the fit.
Sympathetic alterations, repairs and selected design changes after inspecting the dress and its condition.
Please book as early as you can. The number and timing of fittings depend on the work required. Last-minute alterations may be possible, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
We inspect the dress, discuss the desired fit and agree priorities, timing and cost.
Complex work may need more than one fitting so each stage can be checked carefully.
